How to Make Hydrogen Water at Home with Safe Methods

How to Make Hydrogen Water

Learn how to make hydrogen water at home using safe methods like hydrogen bottles and tablets, plus tips to enjoy fresh hydrogen-rich water daily.

You have likely wondered about hydrogen water and all of the buzz that people have made about its potential health advantages. On the face of it, it is quite simple to prepare it at home: you take a little bit of hydrogen and add it to water and there you have it–healthy water. I got interested as well and desired to be a user.

Nevertheless, I soon realized that the majority of DIY techniques do not work as you would have expected. A safe production of a meaningful concentration of hydrogen is not that straightforward as it may sound. Having tried magnesium sticks and malic acid, I understood that you are likely to spend your time and energy in vain, and even your water, unless you have the right equipment.

The reason why DIY Hydrogen Water is not convenient

First I was trying to do it at home with homemade techniques of magnesium rods and other acids, and I thought that it was a nice experiment. The problem? The disorder, chaos and irregular outcomes were annoying. What is more important, the concentration of hydrogen was much less than the one that is required to achieve any benefits.

The fact is that the production of hydrogen water presupposes the specific conditions and safe and clean equipment. In the absence of this, you are merely left with a bit of improved water that will hardly make a change. It is then I began to research more effective ways doing so and I discovered two techniques that are actually effective at home.

Two Effective Methods I Use

My experiment with different methods made me find out that there are two convenient and safe ways of producing hydrogen water at home, hydrogen bottles and hydrogen tablets. They both are much more dependable than DIY techniques and yield repetitive outcomes.

Hydrogen water bottles make hydrogen in your own water including constant concentrations. Tablets are convenient and can be carried anywhere because they dissolve in water and result in the release of hydrogen. Personally, I have been using both and found each of the approaches to have its advantages and disadvantages, depending on your routine and objectives.

Method #1: Hydrogen Water Bottle

The use of hydrogen water bottles soon became my most preferred way of daily usage. My choice is the Piurify Hydrogenator that is capable of producing approximately 3 PPM of hydrogen. Although there are tablets that yield higher quantities, this has been adequate to my requirement and it enables me to take fresh hydrogen water at all times.

Hydrogen Water Bottle

There is much besides the performance itself, the bottle is a pleasure to use. The ease of use, low light, and the current feel of a hydrogen water make it easier to consume. I even thought of giving one since it is as good as it looks, something that is not common with health devices.

Method #2: Hydrogen Tablets

Another viable solution is hydrogen pills which I have tried as well. The brands such as Dr. Mercola are easy and mainstream to consume since they only require one to drop a tablet in a body of water and wait a few minutes.

Hydrogen Tablets

Certain tablets generate 8 PPM of hydrogen which is greater compared to the majority of the bottles. Although this is quite impressive to hear, in my case, I did not experience any significant difference with a trusted hydrogen water bottle. The increased concentration did not present a higher benefit to me as the convenience of a reusable bottle was more important.

Marketing the Right Hydrogen Water Bottle

An equal dose does not apply to all hydrogen water bottles. They are not in local store, the majority of them are sold online, and the quality is inconsistent. I was researching many hours to find the Piurify Hydrogenator that has been working and serving me well in more than a year.

Marketing the Right Hydrogen Water Bottle

Hydrogen water is a fad, and therefore it has a great number of low quality products that are saturating the market. There are false claims that some bottles are high in PPM but do not measure up. My suggestion: always read reviews, search through concentrations tested, and find a bottle that has a solid construction in order to be durable and effective.

Tablets vs Bottles: The Question of Cost and Convenience

The biggest disadvantage associated with using tablets is that they are expensive. New packages are required every now and then, and this may cost a lot in the long run. Bottles, however, are a single investment and maybe spend years in use in case they are well maintained.

In my case, I prefer the convenience and consistency of bottles to the additional initial expense. One does not have to keep a constant track of supplies and the expiry of pills. A bottle is often the more reasonable long-term purchase as far as hydrogen water is concerned, in the cases when you intend to drink it on a regular basis.

The Introduction to Drinking Hydrogen water

Starting is simple. I tend to replace a glass or two of normal water with hydrogen water in a day. I personally take approximately 64 oz. of water every day to remain hydrated and enjoy the benefits of the hydrogen.

When using it to do exercises or to recover, consider consuming it during or after exercising. The freshness is a consideration and thus a hydrogen water bottle is perfect as it will generate hydrogen on demand unlike bottled ones which will have their strength diminished, with time.

How Long Does Hydrogen Water Lasts?

Hydrogen is not a longlasting element in water. It may leak out in a few hours even in specialized bottles unless it is well capped. I consume my hydrogen water within five minutes of the production process and this is to be of benefit to the maximum.

How Long Does Hydrogen Water Lasts?

When stored in a open-top or plastic bottle, the hydrogen is greatly depleted. To have maximum benefits, one should take hydrogen water when it is fresh and keep it in a bottle that has the ability to hold hydrogen.

Can I Use Tap Water?

Yes, technically, but what counts is the quality. Chlorine, heavy metals, and other impurities are very common in tap water and may influence the production of hydrogen and its taste. Before I use my Piurify Hydrogenator, I never fail to filter my tap water. Clean water is used to achieve maximum hydrogen concentration, taste and safety. Filtering is a little action and it will enhance the efficacy of your hydrogen water to a great extent.

Does Hydrogen Water Smell?

Hydrogen water that is pure is non-odorous. When water has a strange smell, I would say this is because the bottle needs cleaning or the water contains impurities.I never face any smell since I wash my bottle and use filtered water. The hydrogen water is supposed to be good like ordinary water and any smell is an indication to wash your bottle or to test your source of water.

How to Clean and Maintain Your Hydrogen Water Bottle

Bottles with hydrogen are fragile and need special consideration. Do not immerse the bottom with the electronics in water. The generator base is cleaned with vinegar or citric acid after every few weeks to ensure performance.

In the case of the jug and the lid, I clean it with mild soap, warm water, and use a straw brush. This makes the bottle sanitary, increases its longevity and guarantees maximum production of hydrogen. The secret of safe hydrogen water on a regular basis is through regular cleaning.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

With a hydrogen water bottle, experience teaches you that there are a few things you should not do with it:

  • Do not immerse the base into water.
  • Do not use dishwashers, high heat may destroy the electronics.
  • No bleach or harsh chemicals can be used; it has the capability of corroding the membrane.

Adherence to these guidelines has maintained my Piurify Hydrogenator in good condition in more than a year. These minor measures will see your investment go on and work as intended.

The Dilemma between Bottle and Tablets

When you are considering the bottles and tablets, think about your way of life. Bottles can be bought once, are convenient and eco-friendly. Tablets can be carried anywhere and have the capability of a greater PPM, but they are an ongoing cost.

The bottle, in my case, is always the best choice since it is more convenient to keep and generates hydrogen on a regular basis. I do not want to continue buying tablets, and I like the traditional simplicity of filling and drinking it right out of the bottle.

  • Bonuses on Best Hydrogen Water.
  • To achieve the best, I would recommend:
  • Consumption of hydrogen water after production.
  • Only filter or purified water should be used.
  • Washing up at least once a day and thoroughly washing every week.

These are the measures that get to provide high levels of hydrogen, clean bottle and a great taste. It is more important that they remain consistent; not occasional high concentrations.

FAQs About How to Make Hydrogen Water

Yes! I consume hydrogen water everyday and in place of several glasses of normal water. Begin with a slow rate and then go slowly.

Tablets could be providing more PPM, but in my case, it is not a big difference. Daily use Bottles are more convenient and less expensive.

Wash the jug and the lid with warm water, mild soap and straw brush. Apply vinegar or citric acid on the bottom after every few weeks. Do not submerge electronics.

Filtered tap water is fine. Raw tap water can also have an impact on the production of hydrogen and taste, and I never leave mine untouched.

Final Thoughts

In more detail, I used hydrogen water bottles during more than a year and tried the use of various tablets, so I can state that these are the most appropriate methods to prepare hydrogen water at home. My personal preference is towards bottles because of its convenience and cost-effectiveness and ease of use.

Hydrogen water is an easy and valuable addit to my routine since I drink it daily, clean my water and use it as a filtrated one. When it comes to making it a habit, it becomes easy and the results can be felt. A hydrogen bottle of high quality is a good investment in the long run, as it is convenient and healthy.
